Your data belongs to you. Here is exactly how we ensure it stays that way.

1. Local-First Storage

ReticulOS is designed from the ground up to be an offline-first application. All of your notes, links, images, and collections are stored in an embedded local database directly on your device, encrypted at rest. Your device is the source of truth for your data.

2. Analytics and Tracking

We never see your content, and we do not collect personal data. The ReticulOS application currently embeds no analytics scripts, crash reporters, or tracking pixels. If anonymous usage statistics are introduced in a future version, they will be strictly opt-in and off by default — what you do in the app is your business alone.

3. AI Features

AI features in ReticulOS are designed to run locally by default. Your content is not sent to third-party endpoints (like OpenAI or Google) unless you specifically configure and opt into those features in your settings.

4. Data Export and Deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you have complete control over it. You can export your data at any time, or delete the local database to permanently erase all your saved items.

5. Multi-Device Sync (Planned)

Multi-device sync is planned for a future version. It will be optional and off by default. This policy will be updated with full details about how synced data is protected before the feature ships, and using ReticulOS without sync will always remain possible.
