The name

ReticulOS comes from reticulum, Latin for a small net. The idea is that everything you save is a knot in one net: a quote, a photo, a link and a note about the same trip hang together, so finding one finds the rest.

Inside the app, Reticulum is the name of the full workspace window, where your collections live as a grid, a list or a free canvas.

ReticulOS is not related to the Reticulum Network Stack, the mesh-networking project, or to the medical terms that share the prefix.
